Bubble Pop

Image
When I’m not out working on the trails, taking care of chickens, riding one of my toys (Polaris, quad or motorcycle), kayaking, etc; I enjoy Bubble Pop during down time! LOL!! I have, again, reached the highest level possible and am waiting for more levels to be added! I started playing Bubble Pop during the pandemic and found it relaxing (for the most part) and was thrilled when I got through all available levels. While I waited for more levels to be added, I started replaying any levels that I had only achieved 1-2/3 stars in an attempt to achieve as many 3-star games as possible until more levels were added. More levels were eventually added, I got through those and went back to any 1-2/3 star games again. Every month or so they add more levels for me to work on and I just got through the most recent additional levels! Will be going back to try for 3 stars on any 1-2/3 star games, until the next levels are added! Finished playing for the moment as I have more trail work to do ...

More Trail Work!

Image
Made some more enhancements to the wooded trails out back this week! Removed a HUGE brush pile that had been there for several years that we kept adding to. It was about 8 feet high and at least 5 feet wide at its largest diameter. Lots of large limbs and small trees intertwined as well. It was a lot of work but well worth it! New brush pile where I moved everything is in a much better location, out of the way!  I also had been dumping shavings from my chicken coop behind the brush pile. So I shoveled it all up and moved it behind the new brush pile. I cut a bunch of brush to form a short path to where it will now be dumped. And what’s nice is it’s actually closer to the chicken coop, but not too close! So the area where the brush pile was is nice and clean now! Looks amazing!  The trail going around it was ok, but now this bypass through the area where the brush and used chicken shavings were is awesome! Much easier to access the trail heading out back when on the Pola...

New Trail!

Image
The other day I cleared a new trail out back in the woods on our property! It came out great! Not many issues with rocks, stumps or trees! The longest trail I’ve cleared on my own and I think it’s now the best trail back there!  First run with the Polaris!  Photos of the new trail!

Replaced LED Light in Run

Image
The older of my two electric LED lights stopped working the other day. No idea why. It had been working great and suddenly wouldn’t turn on again. Maybe a fuse inside the light blew out? Not sure. I can’t recall how long I’ve had it for. Possibly 4 years now, if not more?  So I quickly ordered a new one (only $21.99) instead of waiting 3+ months, or never, for Hubby to “play” with the broken one to try to repair it! LOL! If he can eventually get it working again, we have plenty of other uses for it! You can never have too much outdoor lighting at night!  I ordered the same one as my newer electric LED light. The newer one is slightly different then the older one. The newer one has a switch built into the cord and the old one doesn’t. Otherwise, the two lights are nearly identical.  Amazon; LED Light My gals love it when the lights turn on at 5 am, even in the summer months! I used to use them only in the winter months; however, since installing my WiFi cameras, I can now ...

Sleeping Hens!

My gals seem content and comfy! They sleep well inside their hen condo! 👍

Hungry Hens!

Image
My hens learned to eat from these rat proof feeders very well! To teach them, during the day I put a brick on the pads to hold them open and gradually reduced the amount of time I left the brick in place. It only takes a few days for them to learn. I do this every time I introduce new hens to the flock!  Happy hens hanging out!

Polaris Fun!

Did a lot of work today widening and cleaning up the trails to accommodate the Polaris! Not yet done but made huge progress!
