Franny Bird Watching!

Image
My cat may be 14 but she’s still pretty spunky and thinks she’s still a young gal! She still enjoys some hunting and occasionally leaves a bird or mouse by the front door for us! In her younger years, this was almost a daily occurrence, and she brought home all kinds of animals: Birds, mice, moles, chipmunks, red squirrels, gray squirrels, and she even managed to catch a couple of flying squirrels in her lifetime! Don’t ask me how she managed the flying squirrels! I can only imagine! She has also been known to hang out with certain non-predatorily wildlife that she was incapable of hunting, such as wild turkeys and deer! She’s certainly a special ole gal!  Today I finally managed to snap a photo of her stocking a bird in my outdoor window bird feeder from inside my office here at home! My sister gave me this window bird feeder a little over a year ago for Christmas! I just LOVE it!  It has been a challenge to get a photo of Franny stalking the birds with the bird actually present in th

Bubble Pop!

I made it to the highest level in Bubble Pop! More coming soon but maxed out for now! No, I’m not obsessed with Bubble Pop! It has taken me two years to get here!  I really enjoy it mostly in the evenings before bed for the most part, when trying to relax and unwind! Hope they add on more levels soon! They usually do at some point!  In the meantime, when I run out of levels, I usually replay the games that I got less than three stars on, with the goal to convert as many as I can from one or two stars to three stars. So far, I have earned three stars for every level through level 1833!  The game is very challenging! And you can’t skip levels either. You have to finish one level successfully in order to advance to the next.

Final Nor’easter Update!

We spent most of the morning cleaning up from the storm. Not sure what the final snow tally is due to drifting. Guessing 20 inches or so? Fortunately the temperature stayed in the teens yesterday and in the single digits all night, which kept the snow light and fluffy! If it had been in the upper 20’s to low 30’s, we would have had quite the mess and major power outages! Final pics! Nice and sunny out today! 18 degrees at this time!  These boots are just under 15 inches tall! And the base of snow below the boot is about 3-4 inches thick!  Hubby used the snowblower to make trails throughout the yard to the sheds, chicken coop, etc.! Have had this baby for about 20 years now! When we lived in NH, it got a lot of heavy use on our long driveway! It got some heavy use today for sure! Still going strong!  Chicken coop is dug out inside and out! My gals are much happier now!  And the trails throughout the yard!  My hens are pretty happy now! Almost back to normal!  Before: After:
