Deck Renovation!

For our 33rd anniversary this year, Hubby gave me a deck renovation! I should have done before and after photos…Darn! The renovation includes a new propane fire pit, table with chairs, umbrella (we used the umbrella stand we had), bench and chairs and rug! It looks so awesome! It’s like having a new room! Moving forward, we will be using the deck a whole lot more than we used to!

I had 2 metal tables that matched, each with four metal chairs, plus matching seat cushions for all 8 chairs. I’m selling the older table set with 4 chairs, about 10 years old, and the seat cushions for that set; and keeping the newer set that is in better condition, about 6 years old. I’ll be using it in the campfire pit area! Both sets are in good condition with hardly any rust. We repainted them all a couple of years ago. I also needed to re-home the metal bench I had on the deck, which is also now down in the campfire pit area.

Here’s my deck renovation! We can enjoy the gas firepit in a moment’s notice, and when we have limited time, unlike the regular campfire pits we have. Gathering wood, starting a fire, maintaining it, and making sure it’s completely extinguished when done is fine when you plan ahead and plan to spend enough time to make the work worthwhile. We have a small campfire pit in the back yard and I recently added a second one in the woods, just beyond the back yard. We will still use both wood fire pits just as we have been, even though we now have the gas fire pit. But we’ll now be able to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing fire more often now! The gas fire pit is so easy! A propane tank is always hooked up, inside the base. Just turn the nob to turn on the gas, press the ignition button, and the fire is started! When done, turn off the gas and it’s out! Soooo easy! On hot summer nights, you can adjust it to a lower setting so it doesn’t throw much heat. And when it’s cool or cold outside, we can crank it up high to stay warm! Cozy, and pretty!

One of my old table sets with seat cushions, and my bench, placed down in the campfire pit area in the woods, just beyond the lawn; yard.
